Cleaning systems for plastic injection moulds
Plastic injection moulds and other related tools are subject to a lot of stress in many industries, from the manufacturing of vehicles to the most sophisticated tools. For that reason, their cleaning process is not conventional; traditional options will not work because the dirt is too ingrained.
The penetration provided by the ultrasound makes this the most popular method when cleaning plastic injection moulds. The large number of very small crevices and circuits also complicates the cleaning process.
With our ultrasonic cleaning systems, the cavitation bubbles penetrate into the refrigerating circuits, loosening all lime, sediments, salt and scale that always adhere, even if using treated water.
The textured areas of the plastic injection moulds will be free from any residue, ready to be used right after cleaning.
[accordion title=»Find out more» is_open=»no»]In the cleaning processes we create we take into account the subsequent oxidation of the mould and every single important step of said cleaning process, providing a perfect finish every time.
Different equipment and methods can be used for this. In this article we are going to describe some of the most important to help you get an idea of how they work.
- Immersion cleaning
No additional equipment is needed for this cleaning method. All we have to do is submerge the component to be cleaned in an adequate container and we use a brush or cloth. To help loosen the dirt and grease, we can use a special detergent. High pressure equipment can also be used to guarantee that all dirt has been removed.
- Low pressure cleaner
This method can help us reach the most stubborn dirt. It can also provide a very important protection against any type of corrosion (although it is only temporary).
This automatic process can dissolve all types of dirt. It can be used to clean plastic injection moulds, but also to clean components from vehicles, industrial machinery…
It is more practical and efficient than the previous method.
- Spray washing
This process can be very efficient when degreasing. It normally takes between 1 to 5 minutes to complete the degreasing process and about a quarter of an hour to achieve the end result.
If we take into account the quality of the process, it isn’t a necessarily long method. It may take longer than other similar methods, but the end quality will also be greater.
- High pressure cleaner
This method is used when the dirt is too ingrained and we need a process that can dissolve it. It is perfect for moulds with a very strong structure, as the pressure can be very high.
It helps dissolve all types of dirt fast, but with the risk of damaging the structure.
